Growing up in a military family, one of the few things that kept me grounded was sports. I played soccer, ran cross country, and competed in multiple events in track. Once moving into college for undergrad and my masters program, I knew I had to find some way to stay active. I bounced around in a few new sports, trying out powerlifting, CrossFit, and bodybuilding. After completing my Masters in Georgia, I moved here to Birmingham, AL to begin work at the University as a Fitness Coordinator and Adjunct professor. I currently compete actively in bodybuilding as a nationally qualified Figure and Wellness competitor. I personally love the discipline and resilience that the sport of bodybuilding has taught me, but I truly believe that there is not one way to “fitness.” The most important part of any fitness journey is figuring out what inspires you to move and what you enjoy. I believe my role in that journey is to help educate and motivate you to learn and find what those things are for you. I also love to help clients look at themselves in a holistic view. Our main focus will be in movement and physical activity, but I love to help clients work through their nutritional habits, stress relief techniques, goal setting, and ways to improve their daily lives and mindset of themselves. In my free time, you will find me either out hiking with my dogs or snuggling on the couch with them. The rest of the time, you’ll find me in a gym or getting creative with my meal prep, but I do also enjoy baking, napping, video games, and yoga. I am so excited to be with TFC to work with people of all backgrounds to achieve their goals in not only the most efficient way, but also the healthiest way.
